Kenneth Lloyd Smith Sr., 74 of 43 Coffee St. Malone died December 20, 2008 at his home, while under the card of his family and Hospice of the North Country. He was bon on June 24, 1934, in Owls Head, the son of Floyd and Annabelle (Butterfield) Smith. He attended local schools. He married May Riley, who predeceased him in 1979, and then he married Grace Abair who predeceased him in 1998. Mr Smith was a truck driver for the Franklin County Highway Department until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his children, Pauline Hammond of Churubusco, Brenda Norman of Malone, John Smith and his companion Heidi Seymour of Champlain, Kenneth Smith Jr. of Malone, Keith and Shantell Smith of Madison, Ohio, Kevin and Heidi Smith of Malone, Paul and Michelle Fisher and Gerald and Dianna Fisher of Malone, Hendry and Bridget Fisher of Murriete, California, Leo and Louise Fisher of Lake Placid, Wanda and Steve Demers of Malone, two sons in laws Robert Kelley of Gouverneur and Michael Courtemanche of Virginia, a daughter in law Peggy Smith of Burke two brother in laws and a sister in law, George Wallace of Fort Covington, and Roy and Ruth Abair of Malone, 35 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Dad was a part of my life for 28 years, even though his son John and I had divorced, he told me I would always be his daughter in law, that meant alot to me, he was a wonderful man, I was invited to all family functions, and attended as many as I could. I love him dearly and I will miss him very much. Rest in peace Dad!
